History: Our Lady of Rosary Church ( Taung Chaung parish ) When Fr. Sixtus was the parish priest of Pathein, in 1987 Bishop Joseph Manh Erie asked him to develop the area of Ngaputaw Township in view of establishing a new parish eventually. In this way Fr. Sixtus bought areas of land in Taung Chaung and built wooden chapel for the village. In 1986, Fr. Felix Soe Win took charge of the parish. He could construct a new parish church, a grotto. |
