The Sisters of St. Francis Xavier’s Congregation with over 25 years of service in Myanmar join a refresher course from October 3 to 6 and the annual retreat from 6 to 12 at their retreat center in Mawbi in the Region of Yangon.
During the refresher course, Father George Saw Eh Doh delivered a talk on liturgy, Sister Patricia May Oo Khaing, SFX, on Followership, Sister Teresa Ohn Mar Kyaw, SFX, on Basic Accounting, Mother Ann Teresa, SFX, on the future of the Congregation and the activities of the Commissions, Medical Doctor Si Thu Lynn on general knowledge about health, and Sister Rose Philip Nan New Pyone, SFX, on living in Consecrated Life as St. Francis Xavier’s Sisters.
“The refresher course aimed at the better service of the future life of the nuns in every sector of development,” said Sister Nan New Pyone.
The annual retreat was conducted by Father Charles Saw Thi Han, SDB, and 56 nuns joined it.
Sister Lucia Zar Chi Oo from the Congregation of the Most Precious Blood also joined the retreat.
“I feel oneness and happy in joining the retreat with Xaverian Sisters,” said Sister Zar Chi Oo.
She continues by saying, “I fully enjoy Religious life, Community life, and Togetherness, and received more convenience, peace, and the benefit of religious life. I plan to join them next year if there is another opportunity for me.”
Sister Nan Nwe Pyone expresses her gratitude by saying, “I give thanks to God very much for a successful annual retreat and to those who support us with finance, work, and prayers.”
